C200 svagheder

Tak for medlemskabet.

Jeg står for at skulle skifte min Megane og er faldet for en MB C200 benzin.
Har kigget på modeller fra 2015 med mellem 140 og 200000 km.
Hører at nogen snakket om svagheder/ manglende kvalitet i kæden, er det sandt??
Er der generelt noget jeg skal være OBS på ved køb af sådan en?

Den motor der ligger i en C200 fra 2014 - 18 er en M274 DE20 LA og hvis man søger lidt finder man feks.

"The M274/M270 engine family has several weak components here and there. The first one is the camshaft actuators (solenoids). Usually, after 60-70k miles, these engines start producing some kind of noise while they cold. This is a sign of wear inside camshaft adjusters. In 2014, engines got modified actuators (part no. A2700501147) that hold a little bit longer.

The second problem refers to the rapid wear of the timing chain. Its lifespan is approximately 80k miles (plus or minus 20k). The next problem with which you may encounter on the exact the same mileage is turbocharger failure. The problem with the turbocharger is not very common, but it still has a place to be.

How reliable the M274/M270 will be over time depends on many factors. As usual, Mercedes things need care and proper maintenance, probably more often than the manufacturer requires on a schedule."

"Not trying to scare everyone, but it was brought to my attention from a MB tech that on the M274 engine, there have been problems with an out of spec. wrist pin which causes piston slap. A tell tell sign is a noisey engine on start up. I know direct injection is loud. There is a service bulletin out now and MB is trying to keep it on the low down. It's TSB #L103-10P060916. It's on engines made before 20 April 2015 or serial number 400,000. My engine is louder than it should be, I believe and I understand the whole DI thing. Just wanted to throw it out there. Not sure if I'm going to take it in soon or not."

Og ja kæden skal måske skiftes mellem 100 - 200 tkm men det er vel ikke nogen overraskelse. Det der bekymre mig mest er stempel problermerne. Det var godt nok mest C300 der havde massaf tilfælde med ødelagte stempler. Men man kan jo høre om motoren lyder mere støjende især ved opstart.
Og de nye alu dieselmotor har heller ikke noget godt ry hvad holdbarhed ang. Så jeg er såmænd glad for min gamle C220d fra 2013. Den har jo også sine svage punkter såsom kæden og dyserne og termostathus bærearme etc... Men de er da lidt billigere end en ny motor.
